Artists Easel
I made this artists easel as a gift for a friend because they paint, and because they needed something for larger canvases. Also, I realise this could technically be in the furniture section, but is an artists easel really just a piece of furniture?
I used a variety of timbers to make it, Brush Box, Ironbark, Queensland Blackwood and Swamp Mahogany. The Swamp Mahogany paint and brush shelf, with the natural edge, looks good. I also like the large single piece of Queensland Blackwood as a feature, uncommon in that size.
I’m yet to see any paintings that have been painted on it, and probably never will. I’m fine with that, because as long as the owner is happy with her artists easel, and it’s being used, I’m happy.
And, speaking of things I haven’t seen in a long time, there are a few things I can think of. Truth would be a good one to start with as would functioning democracy, which leads me to the following observations.
I haven’t seen politicians coming forward with policy designed for the people, from the people. Every piece of legislation brought forward to parliament is created elsewhere, it seems. Places like the UN, WHO, WEF and the offices of numerous fascist global corporations.
Our planet, because of all of this legislation, is going to become a hell hole, a gargantuan fascist totalitarian hell hole. And people you voted for are facilitating that hell hole. People who sit in parliament, people whom you should be able to trust. If it wasn’t so tragic it would be absolutely hilarious.
