Three Bottle Wine Rack

So, this is another example of “what do you do with that stuff lying in the corner.?”

The timber bits are offcuts from previous projects and the stainless steel chain is salvaged from prawn trawler netting.

The idea of the piece, apart from being a small display wine rack, is to generate the visual effect of some kind of anti-gravity.

The chain is TIG welded.  The welding was much more involved that may be appreciable mainly because the force exerted by the bottles, particularly the farthest bottle, is significant.  This requires the welding of the links as the chain bends at the wood to be very robust.

It’s a cool effect and people love it, but not enough to buy it, but I was trying to sell it in QLD , so………
