Bedside Tables

Bedside Tables

I appreciate that my garbage photography does absolutely nothing for these beautiful little bedside tables. You’ll have to take my word for it that they are.

The principle timber is Tasmanian Myrtle, which is absolutely stunning. The chatoyance in some of the pieces is completely mesmerising.

It, the Tasmanian Myrtle, was specifically asked for by the client. The purpose of that idea is to match the Tasmanian Myrtle bed head that they have. It took me quite some weeks to source enough timber to make these tables.

Unfortunately during the time between buying the wood and using it we experienced some extremely dry weather. It was so dry, in fact, that some of the timber split. Indeed, some of the timber split so bad that it became unusable, for these bedside tables anyway.

The top I designed to be fastened down with table buttons. This is, of course, the best method of attaching table tops. In this way it allows you to account for any timber movement, i.e shrinkage.

I made the drawer boxes from Silky Oak. The drawer handles are Brigalow, fashioned in two separate pieces. Interestingly Brigalow is one of my favorite woods to work with, smells like violets.

It is quite a shame to think of these bedside tables being stuck away in a dark bedroom, but you get that.

You know, it’s funny that someone should mention being kept in the dark.  Don’t you know that that is exactly what your government and their brown shirt media are doing.  Are you aware that the main stream media (MSM) all get tax breaks so that they don’t ask or publicise really awkward truths that your government doesn’t want you to know.  It really doesn’t take much to find out the truth you know.  All you have to do is look for information that isn’t broadcast on any propaganda stations on the TV or internet.  Easy.

Have a look.  You’ll find that the world you live in isn’t what you thought it was.  That may well be a daunting prospect, but how would you feel if someone told you that you were living a lie.

And, never forget, you are, undeniably, being lied to, every … single … day … Here’s some truth for you.
